Lotte Milkis was launched in South Korea in 1989. It is made by adding skim milk powder to traditional carbonated drinks. Its unique flavor has made Milkis very popular.
Hong Kong actor Chow Yun-fat became its spokesperson in the year it was launched, and Chow Yun-fat became the first foreign artist to star in a Korean TV commercial. In 2021, Milkis has exported 25 million cans to China, setting a record for the beverage in more than 30 years of entering the Chinese market.
